I don’t think I ever really thought about this statement until recently when my college boy made a comment to me, “Mom, where you are living may just be a house. It is where you and I are that is the home. It doesn’t have to have a roof, Mom.”
Wow! Those are big words even for a college boy who should be selfish in his own world.
Life hasn’t always been good in our “house” life.
I believe what he meant by those words is no matter what is going on in the house, it is what college boy and I make of it. It is the interactions between the two of us. It is the little gestures we do for each other. It is the random hugs. It is the “I Love You’s” It is the knowing that the other person will be there for you. It is knowing that the love shared is unconditional.
Home is Where the Heart is.
Home is my life with my children–college boy and sissy.
Life is great!
